  • Bio

Hundred Lies are an alternative rock band, which formed in 2010 on the Isle of Wight. The band consists of Richard Marinelli (vocals, guitars, synthesizers), Kursat Cataler (drums), Mark Thompson (bass, vocals) and Paul Brown (synthesizers, programming).

    - Hundred Lies fuses electro with pop and rock elements, making for a sound that’s equally danceable and incredibly infectious. – In the beginning there were two of them, Marinelli who was once a solo artist in his own right having MTV recognition with his single Maybe Tonight and Kursat an up and coming drummer who was keen to start a band.

    - Whiling away a long, hot summer writing songs in their attic studio. Kurs complimenting Marinelli’s infectious tunes, with solid beats. The nucleus of the band was formed but at some point or other over those months, it became apparent to play live they need additional members.

    - A chance encounter with established musician Mark offered the opportunity of a bass player. “We’d seen Mark in another band some time back but never thought he’d consider joining ours” -Kurs. – All that was needed now was a synth player, in steps Paul Brown, member of Roll Tape and DJ from the Pink Pussycat.

    - With the line up completed the band are now busy working on their live set for what looks to be an incredibly successful year.
